bet365 Named the Guardians' Exclusive Mobile Betting Partner

In celebration of its online sportsbook launch in Ohio, the betting and gambling website bet365 announced that it had entered into a multi-year collaboration with the Cleveland Guardians.

Affirm Presence in the Cleveland Community

The partnership between bet365 and the Cleveland Guardians comes just days after Ohio officially launched its sports betting market on January 1, 2023, and when the Guardians are vying for their first AL Central crown since 2018.

A bet365 representative remarked on the news, saying that the collaboration is exciting for everyone at the operator and that they are looking forward to becoming a part of the exciting future of the Cleveland region, where “The Guardians’ rich history is deeply anchored.”

The agreement brought the Stoke-on-Trent-based online gaming business the Guardians’ exclusive mobile sports betting partner, and it will help the squad led by American League Manager of the Year Terry Francona to its second consecutive season of triumph.

Ted Baugh, the Cleveland Guardians’ Vice President of Corporate and Premium Partnership, addressed on behalf of the team, expressing the organization’s pleasure “to work with bet365 as [its] official mobile sports betting partner and welcome” the operator to Ohio.

“There is a tremendous bond between our organisation and bet365,” Baugh continued, hailing the operator as “one of the world’s leaders in online gambling” and confident that the operator will live up to its fame and popularity among 90 million customers worldwide and provide Guardians fans with “a trusted source” that will complement the Guardians’ “success on and off the field.”

Partnership Launch Approaching

The new collaboration will be unveiled to Guardians fans for the first time during the Guards Fest at the Huntington Convention Center on January 21, when the bet365 lounge will offer exclusive bet boosts and prize giveaways throughout the day to those aged 21 and over.

Baugh said of the impending Guards Fest, “it will provide… a terrific introduction to bet365 and give a preview of the many activations and entertainment possibilities” that will be accessible to fans throughout the season and beyond.

“The Guardians are an outstanding organisation with a passionate and dedicated fanbase, and we’re pleased to develop fan-focused activations that give back to the devoted Cleveland baseball fans,” said a bet365 representative.

The club’s intentions for Progressive Field renovations, including a sportsbook component, will likely be revealed at a press conference on Thursday.

Outside of Ohio, bet365 has increased its presence in Pennsylvania through a multi-year arrangement with Churchill Downs Incorporated’s (CDI) wholly-owned subsidiary Presque Isle Downs & Casino.
