GiG Negotiates a Deal with a Major Swiss Company

GiG announced signing a Head of Terms agreement with an “established land-based and digital casino operator in Switzerland.” According to the iGaming supplier, it will give its new partner its critically regarded account management platform (PAM).

GiG to Work with a Big Swiss Company

GiG stressed that this would be its first step into the Swiss iGaming market. The giG is excited to begin 2023 with news about a forthcoming debut in a new market as a firm skilled in providing cutting-edge gaming technology for complex regulated jurisdictions.

The company noted that this is similar to how it began in 2022 when operators worldwide expressed interest in its innovative offerings.

The gig was started in 2008 and has grown to become a leading technology company. This is due to the provider’s innovative and proprietary products, which operators now employ in 29 markets. The giG is currently working with partners in seven additional regulated jurisdictions to launch. As a result, the supplier has a large footprint, which provides it with the experience it requires to continue improving its goods.

The Swiss internet market began in 2019 and is still mainly untouched, but it is tremendously appealing to operators. Local retailers are now eager to capitalize on the prospects presented by the online market, making GiG’s arrival into the country timely.

The Swiss Federal Gaming Board, which presently has 11 iGaming licenses, regulates gambling in Switzerland. According to GiG, online gambling in the country is predicted to generate up to $430 million in gaming revenue by 2024.

Entering Switzerland Is a Milestone for GiG

In its official release, Gaming Innovation Group did not name the operator with whom it had agreed but stated that the final agreement would be inked in the first quarter of 2023. The deal is slated to take effect a year later, in Q1 2024.

GiG also stated that the agreement would be for five years, with the option to extend it for another five years later.

According to Richard Brown, chief executive officer of Gaming Innovation Group, collaboration with a significant Swiss corporation has long been one of GiG’s priorities.

Our goal is to partner with a well-established and well-regarded retail partner in the Swiss market. This change will allow us to demonstrate our industry-leading technology in another highly regulated but developing region.

In other news, GiG recently parted ways with director Michael Ahearne, who stepped down from the board to focus on his role as CEO of SkyCity Entertainment Group.
