Jamul Casino is expanding its poker program by introducing a multi-day series that will take place every quarter. Cash prizes are offered at several events. The series will culminate in the Main Event with a $100,000 guarantee. The San Diego Poker Classic will be presented in conjunction with RunGood Events.
Jamul Casino started its poker program in 2019 by opening its poker room. “We expect around 600 players for this inaugural San Diego Poker Classic and will continue with a multi-day series each November, February and May. And August,” said John Rochfort, Poker Manager at Jamul Casino.
Jamul Casino, a tribal gaming site based in California, announced that it would host a new poker series with a $150,000 prize pool. The event lasts almost two weeks and includes several trophy events.
Jamul Casino Announces SDPC Series
Jamul Casino’s poker event is called the San Diego Poker Classic (SDPC). The inaugural edition runs through August 28 and will be an 11-day event. It offers different challenges and rewards the best poker players with exciting prizes. The SDPC Main Event starts on August 23 and lasts until the end of the series. Poker enthusiasts can pay $600 to enter the tournament or try to qualify through the satellite tables.
At the satellite tables, players can pay $85 for a 1/10 chance of qualifying for the Main Event. Alternatively, they can pay $145 to double their chances. The Main Event features a $100,000 guarantee and offers poker players exciting competition. Additionally, there will be 14 trophy events for visitors to Jamul Casino to participate in. One of them will be an opening weekend with a $50,000 prize pool.
Next week, on the other hand, there will be a women-only event for female poker enthusiasts.

Jamul Casino is owned and operated by Jamul Indian Village. The SDPC is organized in partnership with RunGood Events, a renowned local promoter. With the new poker series, Jamul Casino hopes to establish itself as a premier gaming destination in San Diego. According to his plans, the estate will turn the SDPC into a quarterly event, hosting one every three months. Following the current event in August, Jamul Casino plans to host a second event in November.

He said that Jamul Casino expects hundreds of players to sign up for the first edition of the San Diego Poker Classic. “We expect around 600 players for this inaugural San Diego Poker Classic and will continue with a multi-day series each November, February, May and August. Rochfort wished all participants good luck. Although the SDPC is already underway, the main event has yet to start.
Jamul Casino intends to establish itself as San Diego’s premier gaming destination through the new poker series. House plans are for SDPC to become a quarterly event every three months. After the current event in August, Jamul Casino is having a second tournament in November.
