Scout Gaming Group, a fantasy sports provider to regulated gaming operators, has expanded its presence in Brazil through a new agreement with a local fantasy operator. Cartola, the operator in question, will have access to the provider’s exciting fantasy products.
Scout Gaming Expands in Brazil
As part of the agreement with Cartola, Scout Gaming Group will empower the Brazilian brand with its critically acclaimed fantasy sports products. The provider, which serves various markets in Europe and beyond, can broaden its horizons further and expand its reach. Scout Gaming is based in Sweden and offers business-to-business and business-to-customer fantasy sports and sports betting products. It also has operational centers in Norway and Ukraine. Cartola is now a Brazilian fantasy sports company with big plans for the future.
The company has a product launch planned for the first quarter of next year and expects to take the fantasy market by storm. DFS Enttretimento, a local entertainment company, owns the Cartola brand. Scout Gaming is happy to support Cartola with its daily fantasy and fantasy products. Niklas Jönsson, CEO of Scout Gaming Group, said he was honored that Cartola had chosen his company over its competitors and said the expansion in Brazil feels very positive. Jönsson and his team are happy to support the Brazilian fantasy operator and look forward to our next collaboration.
A Year of Ups and Downs for Scout Gaming
Scout Gaming Group continues to pioneer the fantasy sports industry and expand its reach. The provider continues to see launches in new markets and is constantly looking to grow its business. Two months ago, the fantasy operator made a foray into the Australian betting market thanks to its deal with Apple imports, an Australian operator of free fantasy games and sportsbooks. Under an agreement similar to Cartola’s, Scout Gaming has agreed to provide Apple imports with a full suite of sports betting and fantasy sports solutions. Despite its ambitions, Scout Gaming’s path has been challenging.
In August, the company released its first-half results. The provider saw a 47% drop in gaming revenue during that period. The company attributed the subpar results to its difficulties during the period and the high cost of doing business.
Daily Fantasy and Fantasy Sports:
Cartola is only focused on daily fantasy and fantasy sports, with the product slated for launch in the first quarter of 2023. Scout Gaming Group is a licensed and regulated B2B and B2C daily fantasy sports and sports betting provider. The company offers a flexible and customizable web-based platform with support for most sports and leagues through an in-house StatCounter that provides players with real-time information. The group is headquartered in Sigtuna, Sweden, with development and manufacturing facilities in Bergen, Norway, and Lviv, Ukraine. At Cartola FC, users build their teams with players from the Brazilian Men’s Championship and must manage their assets by investing in buying and selling players.
The goal is to score the highest at the end of all rounds. There are two versions of Cartola: the free version and the PRO version, which gives access to Gato Mestre’s exclusive stats panel. Other advantages include practical tips about the game, the possibility of participating in 10 leagues, and an in-depth analysis of the player scout.
